I write primarily contemporary classical music.

A focus on harmony and dense chords play a prominent role in my music, as well as satire and reference to clichés, along with a prominent sense of melancholy. However, I am a versatile composer, comfortable writing in many styles. I have written for a broad range of instruments and ensembles, including solo piano, choral music, saxophone ensemble and more.

My music is influenced by the directness and rhythmic vitality of Stravinsky, the other-wordly harmony of Messiaen, and the conciseness of Webern. I am also inspired by more contemporary and experimental voices, including Simon Steen-Andersen and Gavin Bryars.
